The elaborate educational block game is unique due to its bright colors and simple geometric shapes designed by Ladislav Sutnar. Ladislav Sutnar was a pioneer of graphic design and shared a passion for bright colors and simple geometric shapes with his contemporaries from the Bauhaus art movement. As a game designer, he created "Factory Town" in 1921, a highly sophisticated educational block game, which Vilac re-releases 100 years later in collaboration with artist Gérard Lo Monaco and the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. There are still 3 unique original copies in the world, one of which is exhibited at MoMA in New York. Main features: develops children's fine motor skills, conveys a basic understanding of urbanism principles, re-released game created by Ladislav Sutnar, made by Vilac in collaboration with artist Gérard Lo Monaco and the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art from the Czech Republic, contains 33 pieces. Ladislav Sutnar: Ladislav Sutnar (1897–1976) was a world-renowned artist from Plzeň. The birth of his first son inspired Sutnar to create toys that would entertain children and also teach them something. The so-called century of the child was already in full swing at that time, and art and design responded to the boundless children's imagination. Playing is fundamental – games develop empathy and create a sense of belonging. Sutnar's elegantly designed building kits fit perfectly into the world of children. They develop fine motor skills and convey a basic understanding of urbanism principles. The building kit called Factory Town offers children the opportunity to acquire various values and gain a sense of working with space.
