The Ourbaby VISCO children's mattress, measuring 120x200 cm, belongs to the mattresses that offer the option to choose between sides depending on which is more comfortable for the child. One side is made of PUR foam and the other side consists of a 3 cm thin layer of memory foam. Older children will appreciate the mattress for everyday sleeping, but younger children can also use it for occasional sleeping.

Under the removable cover of the VISCO children's mattress lies the core of the mattress, which consists of two layers of different materials. Each material has its unique properties, ensuring a quality and healthy sleep for children.

1st layer of the mattress - polyurethane foam (PUR)

The high-quality polyurethane foam is the softer side of the mattress. The foam is equally firm and flexible across the entire surface. On the mattress hardness scale, it is medium firm (3 out of 1-5). This firmness meets the requirements for children's mattresses for everyday sleeping.

2nd layer of the mattress - VISCO memory foam

You may know memory foam as lazy or viscoelastic foam. The unique property of lazy foam is its ability to immediately adapt to the body of the person lying down and return to its original state as soon as they get up. This type of foam is recommended more for adults or people with health issues.

However, sleeping on this side is more suitable for older children (around 12 years). The height of the memory layer is 2-3 cm, which meets the recommended maximum for older children. While children are still growing, they first need to sleep on the side with PUR foam, which retains its shape and does not change it. Sleeping on the memory foam layer is therefore more suitable for smaller children (up to 4 years) occasionally or when they grow older.

It's up to the children which side of the mattress they prefer to use. To ensure the mattress retains its longevity, don't forget to get a mattress protector.
